Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded MSTU. N.E. Bauman with the Order “For Valiant Labor”, namely for a major contribution to the development of domestic science, education and the training of highly qualified specialists, which is recorded in the presidential decree on the official portal of legal acts.

The role of the university in the award

• The decree emphasizes the significant contribution of the university to the development of Russian science and the higher education system, as well as to the training of engineering and scientific personnel

• MSTU is traditionally considered one of the leading technical universities in the country, which has been repeatedly awarded with state awards for scientific and educational achievements.

Contribution of the department PS8 and PS10

• Train specialists in information protection and information security of automated systems, including significant objects of critical information infrastructure

• The department’s training programs are focused on analyzing threats and risks, building complex protection systems, monitoring and responding to incidents, and the security of critical facilities

• On the basis of IS10 and related structures, scientific and practical projects on technical information security, cyber resilience and secure development are being implemented, which strengthens the university’s practical contribution to the field of information security

• Teachers and management were awarded departmental medals and noted by relevant regulators, which reflects the department’s contribution to the state information security system

• Industry partners emphasize their role in training specialists for cyber resilience in the financial and other critical sectors, including participation in the creation of a cyber training ground for the credit and financial sector

• The department is developing its own electronic educational resources in the “Open MSTU” project, expanding access to specialized knowledge on information security and strengthening the educational contribution of the university
